Only 48 kilometers from Port ELizabeth and 22 kilometers from Uitenhage, Mpunzi Lodge is situated near the Cocks Comb mountains in the Elandsriver Valley.

From Port Elizabeth follow the Old Cape Road in a westerly direction past the Greenbushes area and the St Albans Prison.

Turn right towards Rocklands/ Uitenhage at the Rocklands turnoff. At the Rocklands village take the Elandsriver Road. 

Mpunzi Lodge is situated approximatedly 8 kilometers from the end of the tarred road in the Elands River Valley. The gravel road is usually in a good condition and accessible with sedan motor vehicles.

The Elandsriver Valley forms part of the Garden Route and is rich in history. Bushman drawings can be found on the various hiking trials available on neighboring farms as well as at various other sites in the valley.
